A drop counts whether it comes from the final table, from defeat in a relegation play-off or from any other formal ruling that the LFPB recognises. Anything else is NO. NO also applies if the 2026 season is cancelled, if it is pushed back beyond 23:59 ET on 31 Dec 2026, or if no club has been confirmed as relegated by that time. The LFPB's own announcements decide; consistent reports from reputable news outlets may also be used.
