Any players tied at the same placement with no further official distinction are resolved alphabetically by name. If the award is postponed beyond 05:59 CET/CEST on November 10, 2026, cancelled, or the final five places have not been determined by that point, this market resolves to "No". The resolution source is official information from France Football and UEFA, including the official Ballon d'Or announcement, though a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
