YES if OpenAI's next GPT Image model, version 2.6 or higher, becomes available to the general public at any time from 9 September 2026 through 31 December 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. The model's name or identifier has to include “GPT Image” together with a version number of 2.6 or above; capitalisation, spacing, hyphenation and any added prefixes, suffixes, dates or descriptors do not matter, and a later whole-number release such as GPT Image 3 also counts. These do not count: GPT Image 2.5 (including its Flare and Sunburst variants) or any lower version such as GPT Image 2; DALL-E models such as DALL-E 3; models whose name lacks “GPT Image”; cheaper, faster or smaller variants (for example mini or turbo) of a version that was already released; and a product or app update, such as a “ChatGPT Images 3.0” launch, that does not come with a new qualifying model. The model must be launched and publicly accessible; open beta and open rolling waitlist sign-ups count, but a closed beta or any private access does not. OpenAI must either clearly announce the release as available to the general public, or make the model publicly accessible and explicitly label it on its official website; labelling mistakes, placeholders or version names on its website that do not match a model the public can actually use do not count. Otherwise the answer is NO. Official information from OpenAI decides, checked against reliable news coverage.
Each percentage is the market’s current estimate of how likely that answer is. A contract settles at 100p if the answer is right and at 0p if it is wrong.
