YES if the NDP (BC New Democratic Party) wins more seats than any other party in the 93-seat Legislative Assembly of British Columbia at the provincial general election scheduled for 24 October 2026. Parties are ranked by seats won; if two or more are level on seats, the one with more valid votes ranks higher, and if still level, alphabetical order of the short party names (Conservative, Greens, NDP and so on) decides. Only seats won by candidates who stood under that party's banner count. NO if another party ranks first, or if the result is not definitively known by 31 March 2027 at 11:59 PM ET. Agreement among reputable news reports decides; where there is doubt, only the results published by Elections BC (elections.bc.ca) count.
