YES applies if the Atlanta Hawks clinch a place in the 2027 NBA Play-In Tournament under the NBA's rules (in the current format, the teams that finish 7th to 10th in the Eastern Conference regular-season standings). A top-six finish, which sends a team straight into the playoffs, means NO, and so does a finish below the Play-In places. NO can be settled early as soon as it becomes impossible for Atlanta to end up in the Play-In, for example after mathematical elimination or after securing a top-six place. Neither the playoffs nor any tiebreaker game count as part of the Play-In. NO also applies if the 2027 Play-In is cancelled, is postponed to start after 15 May 2027 at 11:59 PM ET, or if the NBA has not officially confirmed the complete eight-team field by that time. Official information from the NBA or from the Hawks decides; reliable sports reporting may also be used.
