As of 11 October 2026, 00:30 UTC, versus prices Ammie Akin (R) at a 1% chance and Terri Sewell (D) at 98%.
At most one listed answer is YES. The answers stand for parties, not for the people named in them: “Republican (Ammie Akin)” is YES if the winner of Alabama's 7th congressional district (AL-07) in the 3 November 2026 election for the U.S. House of Representatives counts as a Republican, and “Democratic (Terri Sewell)” is YES if the winner counts as a Democrat, even if that party's candidate has changed. The winner's party is the one shown on the ballot or otherwise clearly identifiable at the moment all 2026 House races have been conclusively called. A winner with no Democratic or Republican ballot label counts for the party they most recently said they intend to caucus with at that same moment. If the seat goes to someone who counts for neither party, both answers are NO. Reliable news coverage that broadly agrees on the result decides; if it is unclear, only the official results published by the U.S. Federal Election Commission (fec.gov) decide. Election day is 3 November 2026 (local time); there is no other fixed cut-off.
Each percentage is the market’s current estimate of how likely that answer is. A contract settles at 100p if the answer is right and at 0p if it is wrong.
